Dr. Hatice S. Saş is currently working as a researcher at SU IMC and CTCE.

Dr. Şaş obtained her B.S. and M.S. degrees in Mechanical Engineering at the Middle East Technical University in 2007 and 2010, respectively. She received her Ph.D. degree in processing of composite materials from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Delaware, USA in 2015. Between 2016-2018, she worked as a faculty member in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Abdullah Gul University, Turkey where she was working on process modeling and optimization of composite materials.

Dr. Şaş’s research areas consists of process design in liquid composite molding processes for advanced composite manufacturing, characterization of the fibrous materials, and flow and cure modeling to optimize the composite manufacturing processes. Additional to the modeling and optimization of traditional composite manufacturing techniques, her studies include process modeling and performance characterization of additive manufacturing of composite materials.
