CTCE (Composite Technologies Center of Excellence) is a part of SU IMC which was established as a result of the collaboration between Sabancı University and Kordsa. Kordsa is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of industrial nylon and polyester yarn, tire cord fabric and single end cord.
As one of the most important development centers globally in this field, the "Composite Technologies Center of Excellence" combines industry and university under the same roof. The CTCE occupies a 15.000 m2 state-of-the-art building situated at the Technopark İstanbul, the largest thematic technopark in Turkey. Researchers, designers, engineers, managers and staff of the production process, Ph.D. students, postdoctoral fellows, faculty members and entrepreneurs from incubators, i.e. all relevant players will co-exist in this ecosystem.
The objective is to be able to serve stakeholders throughout the different stages of the R&D cycle depending on the customer's requirements, starting with R&D, continuing with prototyping, and ending in mass production.
